In the most recent episode of Coronation Street, a character defied villain Rowan Cunliffe on the ITV soap opera before the villain left, and it appears that this may have sealed his doom.

On Wednesday night, viewers of Coronation Street witnessed a character promise to stop Rowan Cunliffe’s evil deeds.

It might indicate that the desperate character is about to meet his demise before leaving the ITV serial opera. In a cult plot, viewers are aware that Rowan has been approaching random individuals in the street with the intention of convincing them to enroll in his “self-improvement institute.”

He managed to reel in Leanne Battersby much to the horror of her husband Nick Tilsley and sister Toyah Battersby, with Toyah trying to expose his scam. Leanne may finally be realising there’s more to Rowan than she’s been duped into believing, but Rowan still has her onside for now.

He’s also targeted Amy Barlow, with her now considering investing too. But with Rowan soon leaving the show, a specific character may be about to trigger his comeuppance.

While Toyah has targeted Rowan, she’s got enough on her plate following her ovarian cancer diagnosis. Amy and Leanne also might not be the ones to bring him down, nor Aadi Alahan who tried to stop Amy from investing.

The latest episode may have teased Nick will be the one to expose Rowan and destroy him, triggering his exit from the show. After weeks of being blackmailed by Rowan over his fling with Toyah, with him having pictures of them kissing, Nick finally stood up to him.

Rowan had made a huge error as he continued to demand payments from Nick, threatening to tell Leanne everything. But after he sent Nick a threatening voice message, Nick had evidence that would prove Rowan was trying to extort money out of him.

He threatened to go to the police with the picture and the messages and expose Rowan for blackmailing him. As Rowan squirmed, Nick told him he wouldn’t be getting a penny out of him, stopping him from getting some much needed cash he clearly wants for the institute.

Does this mean Rowan is getting desperate and is in trouble? Could Nick standing up to him and having something on him be what leads to his whole act falling apart?
