Coronation Street’s Sarah has had a slew of failed relationships over the years – but her new romance has now been ‘exposed’ by fans.
Coronation Street fans have ‘rumbled’ Sarah Barlow’s new love interest on the soap.
Sarah, played by Tina O’Brien, has been a regular on the ITV soap since 1999. As the daughter of Gail Platt (Helen Worth) Sarah has been involved in several big storylines.
From her shock teenage pregnancy to her slew of romance mishaps, her time on the cobbles hasn’t been short of drama. And over in the soap recently, Sarah has faced a rather turbulent last year – especially when it comes to her love life.
Fans will recall how she fell into an affair with cobbles bad boy Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths), cheating on her husband Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson).
The pair managed to keep their steamy affair away from prying eyes for a few months. But it didn’t take long before Adam discovered their relationship.
Since then, Sarah has remained single – but viewers reckon it won’t be long until she’s back in a romantic relationship. On social media, fans have claimed she could shack up with “another bad boy” after a huge clue.
Viewers will recall Sarah planned to plant evidence in peadophile Nathan Curtis’ (Christopher Harper) van that would suggest he was responsible for Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) going missing.
However, she was caught in the act by a new cop at the time, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts). After she confessed, he was sympathetic and told her to let the police do their job.
Later on, and much to her surprise, Sarah was stunned to find out that Nathan had actually been arrested on the suspicion of murdering Lauren – all because of the evidence Kit found in his van.
Sarah then asked Kit about the evidence but he promised to keep her safe despite knowing about her meddling.
Now, fans are certain the pair will end up getting into a relationship. Over on a Reddit thread, one person said: “Does anyone think Sarah will ultimately end up with Kit? If you’re a bad boy, she’s pretty much a sure thing.”
Someone else replied: “Quite possibly. They already have a connection with the planted evidence.” A third wrote: “Petition for Sarah and Kit to get together.”
