After Joel Deering attacked the youngster in February and left her for dead, viewers found out the adolescent was alive and hiding. They also found out she was five months pregnant, and we watched her run away from Joel again last week.
Presently, fresh spoilers disclose Residents are divided when Lauren returns to the cobblestones. Although Roy Cropper is relieved to find her alive, he may be leaving soon after a difficult few months.
Joel must race against the clock to reach Lauren before Bethany Platt and Dee-Dee Bailey do, risking his secrets in the process. Rowan Cunliffe is another man under strain because Toyah Battersby might eventually reveal the villain.
Rowan finally exposed
Next week’s spoilers reveal that Rowan is still pursuing Toyah’s sister Leanne as his goals become apparent. Rowan makes the suggestion that Leanne invest £40,000 in the company as she tries to get Amy to join the institution. Leanne is really enticed by the offer.
In the meantime, Rowan threatens to reveal his affair with Toyah in order to get Leanne’s partner Nick to invest in the new resource center. Will he accept this new opportunity for business?
Determined to uncover any dirt on Rowan, Toyah rummages through his jacket pockets and discovers his driver’s license, which she uses to reverse-engineer the photo of him. Is this the end for Rowan and what will she discover?

Next week, there will be moments where Roy is happy to hear that Lauren is still alive, but his protective niece Nina is upset that she took so long to come back and clear his name. Later that week, Nina picks Roy up from the hospital, where he is trying to hide his anxiety about going home after his heart attack.
Glad to have Roy back, Nina fusses over him at the café flat. Given that Roy has had a difficult few weeks, Nina recommends that he take a vacation from the cobblestones and stay for a few days at Cathy’s in Scarborough.
Though it’s unclear if Roy will leave the cobblestones, Lauren goes to the café later in the week to apologize to Roy before going to the Rovers, where Bobby extends an invitation for her to stay in his bed. Will Roy go to Scarborough for a well-earned vacation?
Lauren return fallout
The next week, Bethany discovers that Lauren was the one using her old corporate credit card fraudulently in a sighting of her, and that she was wearing the same coat as the female captured on camera at the pizza place in Leicester. After learning of Lauren’s update, Joel becomes extremely anxious and quickly arranges to marry Dee-Dee, revealing their September 27 wedding date.
Joel then works with Bethany to comb through credit card statements in an attempt to discover Lauren’s whereabouts. However, there will be additional difficulties because Betsy keeps pressuring him for money and blackmailing him.
Joel is discreetly interacting with Betsy while Dee-Dee and Bethany proceed to review the statements. They discover ticket transactions in Warrington and choose to investigate soup kitchens, where a homeless woman verifies Lauren’s squatting in a nearby bar. Before heading out with Bethany, Dee-Dee gives Joel a call to let him know. Will Joel be discovered or will he reach Lauren before Bethany and Dee-Dee?
