Coronation Street will air some huge scenes next week. Will Joel Deering finally be exposed, and how will poor Steve McDonald react when he gets the wrong end of the stick about a surprise party?

Next week, Coronation Street will include several significant sequences. Will Joel Deering finally be revealed?

Although viewers are aware that Joel assaulted Lauren and left her for dead, his secret has not yet been revealed. Could an exposé of Joel occur next week? Another local gets detained for shoplifting in another location.

A resident of Weatherfield decides she needs time away from the Cobbles and leaves, while saddened Steve McDonald receives conflicting messages regarding an unexpected celebration.

Gemma is detained

When Gemma Winter shoplifts to buy Carys the shoes she so urgently wants, she ends up in jail the next week. After taking Carys to the shoe store to get her feet measured, she realizes she cannot afford the shoes when she learns they cost £45.

Gemma, however, chooses to leave the store with Carys and the shoes without paying for them as the assistant becomes sidetracked. Bernie wonders how Gemma could afford the shoes when she sees them, but will Gemma be honest with her?

She is later taken into custody for stealing the sneakers. Bernie goes to the shoe store to speak with Bruce over the theft incident after pleading with Kit to assist in getting Gemma off the hook. She is appreciative of his assistance and interested when Kit offers to help, but only after introducing himself to Chesney and the children. Will the truth come out?

Abi flees

When things become too much, Abi will be leaving Weatherfield the next week. After learning that she is the focus of an AI deepfake, Abi chooses to go stay with Lynsey and the twins the following week in order to give herself a break.

Kevin tries his hardest elsewhere to get Stefan to assist with the deepfake films. Before it is revealed that Stefan is unwilling to pay the £60,000 a year to have the videos taken down, he informs Tyrone he has managed to convince Stefan, the father of Seb’s killer, Corey, to pay for the tapes to be taken down. How is Kevin going to respond?

Joel revealed

Next week, might Joel find himself exposed? Although a corpse has not yet been discovered, we know that he assaulted Lauren and may have killed her. Joel’s parents, Anthea and Gus, are met by Dee-Dee and Ed the following week as they make their way to the bistr for lunch.

When Anthea apologizes for her actions, Dee-Dee is taken aback, but they are horrified to learn that Amy has revealed that they are engaged. After hearing from her buddy that Joel is a creep, Sabrina quickly realizes her error. Will she, however, be able to recognize his true nature?

Joel receives a call from Sabrina’s buddy with demands that must be met, but what exactly is being asked of him?

Steve’s heartbroken

For Steve, next week on Coronation Street will be a case of getting the short end of the stick. Tim’s fiftyth birthday is being celebrated with a night out with his good friend, but things don’t go as planned when Sally tells Tim about the bronze bust of Tommy Orpington, who viewers will know abducted Steve’s wife Tracy Barlow and fled to Spain.

But when Tim tells Steve he can’t make it and won’t explain why, things get even worse, and Steve starts to believe a special surprise party is being planned. Tim and Sally’s conversation about new clothes only serves to exacerbate his thoughts.

Amy informs Steve that Tracy has canceled her scheduled trip back to the UK, and he is left feeling incredibly disappointed because his strategy for getting her back is now futile. He’s confident that Cassie, Kevin, and Tyrone are lying when they deny knowing about his surprise party, but will the real reason behind Tim’s absence that night emerge?
