If you want some drama served with a filling lunch, head to the bistro in Coronation Street.

The episode that aired on Wednesday, September 13, served up quite a feast as Dev’s lunch meeting with Darren Vance (Ryan Early) went about as well as we expected it to given the presence of Dev’s hidden lovers Courtney (Stephanie Davis) and Aadi (Adam Hussain).

Aadi was invited to the supper since he had contributed to make the business partnership between Dev and Darren possible. Since Amy (Elle Mulvaney) was Aadi’s plus one, there was another person seated at the table who was aware of what was happening between Courtney and Aadi and could giggle on behalf of the audience at certain moments.

Aadi feigned to have a girlfriend named Monica after being irritated by Dev’s repeated references to Amy as his girlfriend before the meal. Dev mentioned Monica at the lunch table, and Courtney told Aadi she was eager to learn more about her.

When Courtney realized that Aadi was speaking highly about his lovely and intellectual girlfriend, she interrupted him. Her passion was sparked by this, and she soon found herself texting Aadi to come with her as she made her way to the bistro’s restroom.

Dev happened to catch them there, glued to one other’s faces. Dev first believed that Darren would change Aadi’s face if he realized that he was playing around with his wife.

Back at the table, things started to get more heated as Darren admitted to the others remaining seated that he believed his wife was having an affair and that he was determined to find out with whom.

Courtney acknowledged that she was having an affair when she came back to the table. She yelled at Darren, who evidently hasn’t been a model of fidelity himself, “Makes us even,”

In an impulsive moment, Courtney said that the person she was spotting was “hiding in plain sight.” His wife had another tip as Darren became inebriated and vowed to “pulverise” whoever it was. She bounded out and shouted, “He’s got great hair.”

When Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) took into account Dev’s gorgeous head of hair, she made the connection that Dev was showing Courtney more than just a friendly interest. She couldn’t keep up with Darren, who was already lunging at Dev.

Aadi had to step up and admit that he, not Dev, is Courtney’s secret lover because his dad’s face was in danger of being changed.

Darren was so stunned that he didn’t even consider punching him; instead, he simply said that he would spend the rest of his life putting shelves in order for his elderly father.

Aadi, who was acting bravely at home, told Dev that he believed he was in love with Courtney and that he would speak with Darren to resolve the issue. Dev, who is older, wiser, and far more adept at handling complicated relationships, didn’t believe it would be that simple. He was devastated by his son’s ability to ruin both his life and a business transaction that may have improved the quality of life for the entire family.

Then Courtney showed up. She hurried right over to the home of her young boyfriend after Darren threw her out.

Even after Aadi bravely offered to give up his own bed for her, Dev said she couldn’t stay with them. He instructed her to go.

When Aadi remarked, “If she’s not welcome here, neither am I,” his father was forced to choose between his business goals and his son. I’ll be honest with you, Dad: if she leaves, I leave! Once and for all!

Which will you support—your son and his girlfriend or your good friend?

Dev left his own home since he was unable to handle the situation or the decision. He’ll eventually have to enter again, but will he be prepared to deal with Aadi?
