According to Coronation Street spoilers for tonight, July 19, Lauren’s reappearance escalates the problems stemming from her abduction.
Last week, Lauren made her way back to the Street by sneaking into the hospital to see Roy. She had been thought to be deceased prior to that.

Last week, in shocking circumstances, Lauren made a surprise return to Weatherfield, revealing that she had fled to avoid Joel rather than being dead.
She visited Roy in the hospital and apologized to him. She goes to the cafe tonight to truly apologize to Roy for not coming back to clear his name after he was arrested for her murder, echoing his earlier apologies.
Bobby offers her a place for the night when she gets to the Rovers. His aunt Carla becomes enraged by this and cannot forgive Lauren.
