Fans of Coronation Street have expressed dissatisfaction about Felix, Summer’s boyfriend and a recent Cobbles addition, calling him a “pointless” addition to the soap opera. After visiting America, Summer Spellman just got back to Weatherfield with her new partner.
She was excited to introduce Felix to her three dads, Paul, Billy, and Todd, after returning home. But Paul, who had fallen off his stairlift and was recuperating on the couch, stole the show from him.
Todd also did little to help Felix feel at home, asking playfully if Summer was now dating “older men” instead of making any effort to make him feel welcome.
Poor Felix didn’t do much to win over viewers either, if the reaction on social media was anything to go by.

As Felix’s debut scenes aired, fans shared their thoughts on the new arrival. And, unfortunately for Felix and Summer, the early opinions weren’t very flattering – with many deeming him to be a ‘boring’ and ‘pointless’ addition.
