ying Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) shares an emotional bonding moment with brother Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) in tonight’s Coronation Street.

The pair were unexpectedly brought together earlier this year, when Kit was revealed to be the long-lost son of Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove).

While Kit has rejected his birth mother, the corrupt copper has started to build a relationship with his twin siblings Gemma Winter-Brown (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul, who is dying from motor neurone disease

Next week sees the character pass away as his loved ones rush to be with him, but ahead of those heartbreaking scenes, Paul and Kit share a touching moment.

As teased in our new spoiler video from tonight’s episode, Kit pops by the flower shop flat to see Paul, but is concerned when he has a coughing fit.

With his partner Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) out having a drink with David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) at the time, Paul asks Kit not to mention it to Billy and ruin his night.

The brothers then agree that they should spend as much time as they can together to make up for all of the lost years.

Kit is emotional as he leaves the flat, not realising it might turn out to be the last time he ever gets to see Paul…

Speaking of his final scenes – which air on Monday – actor Peter Ash said: ‘It was quite hard to not get emotional during that scene where they’re all there giving all those beautiful goodbyes.

‘I had to pretend to not hear it, pretty much. Especially when he does pass, it’s that thing of trying not to breathe at all, which gets a bit tricky after a while!

‘The scene in general was just beautiful. It was a really nice way to end it. I’m not going to give anything away apart from that but it was great to have all the favourites there in my last scene.’
