Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has given fans a glimpse into her ‘wholesome’ life of late as her next major storyline in Weatherfield has been teased.
The actress recently revealed she is expecting her second child with her boyfriend, footballer Ryan Ledson. In an adorable video announcement last month, the couple were seen playing with their one-year-old son, Sonny Jude, at their home before the clip then switches to Lucy, who is famed for playing Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, rubbing her burgeoning baby bump.
Sonny was then seen playing with the sonography images of his new sibling. Announcing the surprise news, Lucy captioned the video: “Half way there”. And the loved-up pair have since confirmed they’re expecting a baby girl.
In the meantime, Lucy is keeping busy and shared a fresh update with her fans as she picked out some of her favourite moments from recent weeks.
In one photo, the mum-to-be could be seen smiling for the camera as she took a break while in Rome with her co-stars Channique Sterling-Brown (Dee-Dee Bailey), Charlotte Jordan (Daisy Midgeley) and Tanisha Gorey (Asha Alahan).
Other pictures gave a look at Lucy’s recent stay at celebrity haunt Soho Farmhouse, in which she could be seen sporting a cosy robe, and precious moments with Ryan and their son before his new sibling makes her entrance into the world.
“A wholesome few weeks,” the Blackpool-born soap star wrote alongside the post. Her co-stars were quick to respond with Julia Goulding posting a love heart eyes emoji while Charlotte replied: “She’s thrivingggg,” and Tanisha wrote: “What a slay.”
Meanwhile, it’s been teased that Lucy will have a big storyline on her hands before she takes a break for maternity leave. While it hasn’t yet been confirmed when the storyline will kick off or what it will entail, the 28-year-old recently revealed that her character would take centre stage in a “dramatic” storyline later this year.
“Bethany has actually got quite a big storyline coming up within the next few weeks, few months,” she told Digital Spy last month. “It’s going to be quite dramatic, quite emotional, which she should be used to right now!”
She added at the time: “It’s a good one for me to get my teeth into but it’s going to be quite an emotional one for Bethany, playing into her insecurities. It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out.”
