Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor has taken to her Instagram account to share a rare snap with her younger daughter Harriet.

Coronation Street’s beloved Sally Dynevor has dazzled fans with a stunning photo alongside her doppelganger daughter, all in the name of a noble cause.

The 61 year old soap veteran, famed for her role as the iconic Sally Metcalfe on ITV’s Coronation Street, took to Instagram to post an endearing picture with her daughter Harriet. The duo were promoting the charity Prevent Breast Cancer, donning chic black T-shirts adorned with unique hand-drawn illustrations of breasts.

The pair exuded joy and pride in their matching attire.

Sally captioned the post: “Check your breasts! This fabulous t-shirt is from a charity very close to my heart – @preventbreastcancer. It features hand-drawn sketches by women who have been affected by breast cancer, and each purchase helps fund their vital research into breast cancer prevention.”

The Corrie legend also provided a link for her followers to buy the meaningful top. Fans were quick to express their admiration in the comments section, praising both the cause and the mother-daughter duo’s radiant appearance, reports the Mirror.

One follower commented: “Gorgeous! Ordering mine – such a great cause.”

Another added: “What a great T-shirt! And you both look fab in them.”

A third admirer expressed: “Beautiful photos mother and daughter for the same fight. Thank you for supporting this cause for all women in the world.”

Sally, an integral part of Coronation Street since 1986, faced her own harrowing encounter with breast cancer. During this tumultuous period in 2009, her on-screen persona Sally was similarly afflicted by the disease.

Recounting her experience on BBC Breakfast, the actress shared: “There was a particular day in 2009, I was reading the scripts, and I suddenly had a gap. And I thought I’m just going to go and see our nurse and see what she thinks, because I felt something very, very tiny.”

She continued, revealing the moment of her diagnosis: “When (the doctor) told me ‘You have breast cancer,’ I fainted. Then I said ‘I think you’re getting me mixed up with my character.'”

The beloved star expressed her astonishment at the diagnosis during her interview: “When I got breast cancer, I was 46. And I thought that you didn’t get breast cancer at 46, it was for an older person.”

“But yesterday I met a young girl who was 22 when she got diagnosed. So this is really important.”

Concluding her heartfelt revelation, she added, “You never think that’s going to happen to you. When somebody tells you that news, and it comes really out of the blue, it’s really shocking.”
