Fans of Coronation Street believe Tracy Barlow, who is scheduled to make a dramatic comeback to the cobbles later this week, will shockingly kill off a resident.
Coronation Street’s Tracy Barlow could be on the verge of committing murder upon her dramatic return to the cobbles – but not who you might expect.
The soap veteran (Kate Ford) bid farewell to Weatherfield back in April after her scandalous affair with Tommy Orpington (portrayed by Matt Milburn) came to light. The affair led to a split from her husband Steve (Simon Gregson), and she hastily departed for a new chapter in Spain with her lover.
Since Tracy’s departure, a devastated Steve has been seen attempting to move on, engaging in a series of dates, including a recent rendezvous with his old flame Demi during the episode aired on Monday, August 12. Additionally, there’s been a noticeable spark between Steve and Cassie (played by Claire Sweeney).
Meanwhile, Tracy and Steve’s daughter, Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney), has become entangled in a distressing cult storyline. Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) has fallen prey to a dubious “self-help” group, orchestrated by the enigmatic Rowan (Emrhys Cooper), who has also managed to draw Amy into their web, reports the Liverpool Echo.
The group’s true motive is to get their hands on Amy’s savings, unbeknownst to both her and Leanne. But Tracy is set to make a comeback to the renowned Street later this week.
While many fans are speculating that Tracy’s return will see her dismantle The Institute and rescue Amy, possibly by eliminating the cult’s mastermind Rowan, others believe she might actually take out a different character altogether.
Coronation Street fans have taken to social media with a theory that Tracy, who previously killed her husband Charlie Stubbs, might be about to end one of ex-husband Steve’s relationships.
On a Corrie Facebook fan page, one viewer speculated: “Tracy will return and see Steve’s new bird, and kill her.” Another wrote: “We all know EXACTLY what Tracy is capable of!”
A third added: “Plot twist! Still hope Tracy and Steve get back together at some point.” Another fan predicted: “If Tracy comes back to find Steve and Cassie bumping uglies, oh my! It won’t end well.”
A fifth commented: “Think she will come back for Steve and when she finds out about his dates and Cassie, she will hit the roof.”
