Over the years, Corrie has broadcast some great stories. However, viewers are not too happy with one that is now airing on the ITV soap opera. Fans have complained that Corrie has its “worst storyline yet.”
Georgia Taylor’s character Toyah has had a difficult few months on the soap opera lately. It was revealed earlier this year that she was raped in the early 2000s and gave birth to a child at the age of 19. Sadly, Toyah buried Rose’s body on the red rec when she was stillborn.
In the midst of everything, Toyah has also come under attack from the evil Rowan Cunliffe, the head of a cult that Jane Danson’s character, sister Leanne, has been a part of.
On the day of Rose’s funeral, Toyah ended up sleeping with Leanne’s fiancé Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) after she was sued by him and after her terrifying baby confession.
In true soap opera style, Rowan also got his friend to take some pictures of Nick and Toyah together, which he has been utilizing as a plot device for blackmail.
However, in this week’s soap opera, Toyah was taken to the hospital by ambulance after Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) discovered her on the ground, writhing in excruciating pain from her chronic stomachaches.
Toyah, however, received the startling news that she is pregnant while she was in the hospital. Given that she had just had a sexual encounter with Nick, the soap opera icon was taken aback.
Fans of the long-running soap opera, however, are not too pleased with how the plot is developing. Fans of Corrie criticized the twist in an online forum.
“Can’t see a way back from this, 3 characters trashed to create another mature mother. Where do all 3 characters go from this, I’m surprised any of them are happy doing this crap,” fumed one person.
Someone else added: “Another new and terrifying low reached. Worst storyline the soap has ever produced. Tasteless, short-term sensationalism designed to drive a wedge through one of the most enduring (and watchable) sibling relationships on the show. Awful.”
A third proclaimed: “I’ve switched off the twaddle it’s not for me. Worst storyline they have done by far.” Another wrote: “History is just rewritten at a whim these days. Surely Georgia Taylor can’t be happy with this material?”
“First, they fabricate a dead baby that Toyah conceived through her rape, and then she sleeps with her sister’s partner and amazingly becomes pregnant with his child despite her well-known infertility problems in the past,” the same person continued.
“What a complete mess. I have no plans to return to the show anytime soon because, these days, Corrie is only a name.
In the meantime, another person commented on X, the former name for Twitter: “truly the worst thing Corrie has ever done.” I believe it’s time to turn everything off. “I stopped watching it yesterday after 5 minutes,” wrote another irate admirer. incredibly dull storylines. did not watch the program that aired tonight.
