For soap opera fans, especially those who cherish their memories of the 1980s’ heyday, Lifetime has a special holiday gift for you! According to the network, it will air Ladies of the 80’s: A Divas Christmas features a lot of well-known faces!

Five soap opera divas are reunited in the film to film the long-running series’ final Christmas episode. And those divas are being played by Donna Mills (Abby, KNOTS LANDING; ex-Madeline, GENERAL HOSPITAL), Linda Gray (Sue Ellen, DALLAS; ex-Priscilla, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL), Morgan Fairchild (Jordan, FALCON CREST; Sydney, THE CITY; ex-Anjelica, DAYS OF OUR LIVES), Nicollette Sheridan (Paige, KNOTS LANDING; Edie, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES), and Loni Anderson (Jennifer, WKRP IN CINCINNATI).

While doing so, those five divas put aside their differences to act as cupid and bring the show’s producer and director—played by Travis Burns and Taylor Ann Thompson, respectively—together. The cast also features Chloe Mills, Mills’ real-life daughter, 1980s heartthrob Christopher Atkins, and Patrika Darbo (ex-Nancy, DAYS). Tiffany sings the movie’s theme song, maintaining the retro vibe.

The chance to combine Donna, Morgan, Loni, Linda, and Nicollette—five strong women—into a holiday film, according to executive producer Larry A. Thompson, has been like discovering the ideal present under the tree.

A premiere airdate for Ladies of the 80s: A Divas Christmas should be revealed in October. It was filmed earlier this year. So keep checking back at SoapsInDepth.com, and we’ll let you know when to tune in. Because fans of movie soaps won’t want to miss this, it appears!
