EastEnders viewers were delighted to see the shock comeback of a soap favourite.
After his adoptive son Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) called him during yesterday night’s episode (Tuesday, July 12), EastEnders fans were over the moon to see soap icon Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) make an unexpected cameo.
Alfie made a video call appearance in last night’s EastEnders episode after Tommy called him.
Alfie was ecstatic to meet his son and exclaimed, “Tommy! my boy Tommy Oh wow! It’s really unbelievable! It is wonderful to see you! What a delight, I’m really happy about this! You know, Tommy, my friend, I’ve been thinking a lot about you recently.
“Yes! Yes, I constantly think of you. You, Bert, you, and Ernie are never far from my mind. I know it’s been a while, but look at you, listen, listen. Watch you! You’re developing into a tiny guy. Are you now six feet tall? Alfie yelled.
He then inquired as to Tommy’s ex-wife Kat Slater’s (Jessie Wallace) current relationship with Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami), but Tommy was unwilling to answer.
Tommy rolled his eyes as Alfie continued, “Listen, I’m a bit busy right now.”
I just wanted to see your face,” Tommy remarked as Alfie messed around in the distance before returning. I’d best leave.
Oh, are you certain? Alfie inquired.
“Yeah. He responded, “See you.
Alfie stated before Tommy hung up the phone, “I love you, Tommy.”
This is the first look at Alfie’s spectacular autumnal return to the Square following his deception of his demise in 2019 to avoid paying off debts.
Alfie stole £50,000 from Abert Square hardman Phil Mitchell before leaving Walford (Steve McFadden).
Alfie left the money behind for Kat, who later discovered it, and she got a text from him letting her know he was on his way home. She eventually returned the money to Phil because he never showed up.
His unexpected comeback thrilled his ecstatic admirers, who can’t wait to see him on our televisions once more.
