Teddy Mitchell, a newcomer to EastEnders, caused chaos for the Mitchell family when he appeared in Albert Square, but viewers were more preoccupied with his “annoying” habit.
To the chagrin of viewers who find Teddy’s “irritating habit” bothersome, Teddy, a new character on EastEnders, has already begun stirring things up among the Mitchells. Teddy came in Walford looking for his “missing” father, accompanied by his sons Harry and Barney.
Teddy went to Walford General after an accident and he was contacted by the hospital as Stevie’s next of kin.
When Teddy got to the hospital, he overheard Will Mitchell and Stevie talking. Because of this, Stevie pretended not to know Will, which piqued Teddy’s interest and made him go straight to Albert Square.
When they arrived, he told Harry and Barney to get acquainted with the surroundings. Teddy watched Billy and Will closely while they were busy interacting with the locals, and then he confronted the teenager in the gardens of the Square.
Teddy took him to The Vic where he questioned him about the Mitchell family after realizing that Will loved Stevie, according to the Daily Star.
Elaine Peacock called Billy and Honey shortly afterward to inform them that their son was at the pub with an unfamiliar person. Phil Mitchell quickly lost his composure and insisted on knowing Teddy’s identity.
The rest of the family was left perplexed when Stevie revealed the shocking news that Teddy is Billy’s brother.
Teddy’s fashion choices, especially his preppy jumper-over-the-shoulders ensemble, have not exactly won over EastEnders fans.
One viewer cried out, “As much as I didn’t want more thuggish Mitchell’s running around the square, I quite like teddy (for now), but that jumper scarf thing has got to go #EastEnders,” as crowds flocked to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
“I’m going to need the EastEnders costume department to delete Teddy’s jumper drapped around his shoulders ASAP,” a second fan quickly demanded of the wardrobe department. I refuse to spend the next year witnessing this strange piece of clothing worn around his neck.”
“I need the newbie to remove his jumper from around his shoulders. #EastEnders,” a third viewer said, expressing their dismay withholding words.
Another fan joked, “I wonder if sweater weather is like Junior with his suit and keeps his sweater on his shoulders while bathing and having sex,” to further spark the fashion discussion.
Teddy’s outfit was questioned by another viewer, who said, “This new cricketer helps himself into someone’s house and honeys expression so casual.” In thirty degrees of heat, what’s up with that pink sweater? Have you just left the cricket field?”
