After accusing Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) of killing Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), The Six on EastEnders have shown that they will stop at nothing to hide their murderous secret. But as they investigate, might someone else come into danger?
Fans of EastEnders have been asking themselves that question ever since Callum Highway (Tony Clay) kept acting on his gut feeling that Keanu’s death was not what it seemed on Wednesday, June 19.
When Keanu’s mother Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) disclosed that she had visited Dean in jail and had some questions for genuine killer Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) regarding her confession, which helped frame rapist Dean for the crime, the copper’s suspicions were aroused earlier this week.
He quickly noticed Linda’s and her son Johnny’s (Charlie Suff) clinginess. He then followed his concerns by pressuring Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and noting her corresponding response.
On Wednesday, after Callum announced he would be meeting with the detectives leading the investigation, Linda and Sharon solicited the services of fellow copper Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) to help throw Callum off the scent.
At the police station, Jack gave him the opportunity to join a new case he’s working on in exchange for him stopping his pursuit of Keanu’s murder. He also warned him about the hazards involved with probing into a senior officer’s case.
But Callum later admitted to talking endlessly about the case in his mind, saying he wanted to make sure the proper person was sent away for it, in an interview with Johnny Carter.
Furious, Johnny decided to take matters into his own actions and tricked Callum into acknowledging that he was devoting all of his attention to his profession in order to get his mind off his husband Ben Mitchell’s (Max Bowden) present imprisonment.
Claiming to have finally got The Six off his back, Johnny told Callum to concentrate on his stepdaughter Lexi Pearce.
Will the copper, though, truly give up on his suspicions? And will The Six have to do anything severe to put a stop to him?
