Jane Beale returned to EastEnders in recent scenes and the EastEnders icon ends up contacting another former Walford resident tonight
After a seven-year absence, EastEnders icon Jane Beale has made her way back to Walford.
In an attempt to mend her connection with Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell), the beloved fan sought out to her ex-husband Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt).
On Wednesday, July 17, the episode, which can be seen on BBC iPlayer, Jane talks on the phone with Masood Ahmed (Nitin Ganatra), a former resident of Walford, with whom she had a passionate affair back in 2011 that caused his and Zainab Massod’s (Nina Wadia) marriage to fail.
Masood was commended by Jane for his advise regarding Bobby’s birthday present, which proved to be a great success. It’s safe to infer they are dating based on the call, but their romance hasn’t exactly been easy. When Masood and Jane started comforting one another about their respective partners, they initially grew close.
When they first met at a hotel, they intended to have sex, but they ultimately opted to stay friends instead. When Ian found out about Masood and Jane’s meeting, he went up to him and gave Masood a hit to the face.
subsequently, Jane moved out of Walford but subsequently returned, divorced from Ian. Masood told her they couldn’t be friends, and they shared a kiss. Following that, the two start a covert relationship.
Masood and Jane were seen together on the day when Masood and Zainab’s divorce was finalized, which is how Zainab found out about their relationship. Along with her good wishes, she informed Masood that she was getting married to Yusef Khan (Ace Bhatti).
Nitin last seen on screen as Masood in 2019, following his decision to leave Albert Square and start over in Australia. However, would he eventually return to Walford? Jane and Masood’s romance ended abruptly. Some fans are pleading for his comeback on social media, expressing their hope in this regard.
