On EastEnders, Sonia Fowler will be taken into custody after being set up for a murder.
Next week, the renowned soap opera heroine—who has been portrayed by Natalie Cassidy on and off for thirty years—will celebrate her engagement to Jonny Freeman’s character, Reiss Colwell.
However, Reiss’s ex-wife Debbie has been killed, and when police arrive to arrest Sonia as their primary suspect—having been set up by her fiancé—they find that Sonia is the real suspect.
A source told that ‘The net is closing in on Sonia and Reiss as the gatecrash their engagement party and arrest the pair for Debbie’s murder, much to the horror of the other Walford residents and Sonia.’
The spoiler pictures come just days after it was revealed that actress Natalie, 41, will be taking ‘a short break’ from the show.
The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant will temporarily exit the serial as she prepares to explore consumer products on What’s The Big Deal? for More4
A source said: ‘Natalie will be taking a short break, just like many of her co-stars do when they have another project.
‘Bosses always try to let stars spread their wings and if they can make it work with the often punishing soap schedule, then they’ll do it.
‘Natalie’s really excited to tackle the project for Channel 4. This is another string to her bow.’
Natalie – who has Joanie, seven, with her fiancé Marc Humphries and 12-year-old Eliza from a previous relationship – will be testing out the products with participating families and is looking forward to helping viewers find the ‘best deal’ for them,
She said: ‘I am looking forward to getting to ask questions we all want answers to, about must-have products.
‘Like all of us, I love to try the latest things.
‘But as a busy mum, what I really want to know is what lives up to the claims and what is the best deal.’
It is expected that the four-part series will air on More4 later this year.
Meanwhile, it was recently confirmed that Patsy Palmer will be making a comeback as Sonia’s sister Bianca.
Speculation had been mounting in recent weeks that the 52-year-old soap star could be returning, after she was spotted near the London set in July.
Now, the broadcaster has revealed that the actress will be gracing our screens once again, as new storylines are set to unfold.
But, unbeknownst to Bianca, her father David Wicks, played by Michael French who is also making a comeback to the show, is set to be ‘hot on her tail’.
