In recent EastEnders scenes, Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) overheard a chat between Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and made a significant discovery.
Denise just discovered video of Ravi killing Ranveer, and she quickly told the Panesars and her own family what she had seen.
Even though Suki had publicly sided with Ravi, she later went into hiding to see Denise because she was so curious about what she had seen on the tape.
Suki and Denise decided to work together to take down Ravi after talking about it, but they ran into trouble when the cops didn’t take them seriously.
Suki struggled for a while to persuade Denise to call the police in the first place, but eventually succeeded.
She carefully omitted mentioning her prior encounter with the police, during which she gave them a blank memory stick that she claimed contained video of her murdering Ranveer.
Suki’s prior failed statement combined with Denise’s lack of proof and Ravi’s destruction of the laptop with the video left them with nothing to stand on.
Suki’s failure to bring up her previous attempt infuriated Denise, who noted that she never would have attended if Suki had.
Denise was ashamed and worried about how this might damage her husband Jack Branning’s (Scott Maslen) career as a detective, but Suki maintained that she had to try one more time.
She made the quick decision to cut all ties with Suki, but the angry business owner wasn’t about to give in that simply.
Suki went to Denise’s in a last-ditch effort to win her over after a confrontation with Ravi revealed that he had no remorse for having led her to believe she had been the murderer all along.
Suki explained her strategy to Ravi while they talked on the door step, and she asked Denise if she would be willing to support her if she was successful in getting a confession from him.
In order to permanently get rid of Ravi, Denise agreed, and the two set about planning their retaliation.
They were unaware that Ravi had listened to every word and was aware of Suki’s intended course of action.
Will he seek reprisal by taking them to task?
