The popular soap star and his wife Sammy recently welcomed a newborn son into the world
EastEnders actor Ricky Champ shared a sweet selfie with his two kids and gave fans a peek into his family life. The joyful father, who achieved popularity for his role as Stuart Highway in the BBC serial opera, and his wife Sammy recently welcomed a boy named River.
Baby River, who was born on June 23, two weeks earlier than expected and weighing 7 lbs. 3 oz., is the couple’s second child; they already have a daughter named Beatrix.
The 42-year-old soap actor posted the family photo to Instagram on Thursday, August 4, and couldn’t have looked more proud. While his daughter rests her arms on her father, Ricky holds his infant boy in his lap.
Ricky beams at the camera and contrasts sharply with his Stuart Highway persona from Walford, who is presently suffering from postpartum depression after failing to form a link with his surrogate kid Roland. The lovely photo was simply captioned, “Me and my munchkins,” by the man.
EastEnders co-star Tony Clay, who portrays Callum Highway, immediately left a remark on the photo with the words “Mate” and the heartstruck and swooning emoticons. Actress Milly Zero from Dotty Cotton added the words “So perfect,” along with a heart.
As one fan wrote, “This is a great photo,” other fans of the television personality extended their well wishes. Another said, “Aww how sweet,” “Beautiful photo – sorry you’re leaving EE,” a third gushed.
