Following his revelation that he is in possession of the enigmatic dog tag belonging to Aidan Moore, Emmerdale’s John Sugden has generated a lot of attention from viewers. Many believe they have discovered a crucial clue that pinpoints Aidan Moore’s identity.
After sleeping in the back of Aaron Dingle’s (Danny Miller) camper van after meeting him on a dating app, John recently moved to the town. In a strange turn of events, John eventually made contact with Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins), his long-lost sister, while attending his mother’s burial.
John was shocked to discover that his van had vanished after being stuck in the hamlet and having a chilly run-in with Aaron. He immediately believed that Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), a prankster, and Aaron had stolen it.
John was still furious with Mack and Aaron on August 13, the day of their most recent visit to the village, and he threatened to have them return his camper vehicle. In addition, he declared he would be staying in the village a little while longer and threatened Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) with calling the police if his car was not returned.
After his practical joke, Cain ordered that Mack, John’s brother-in-law, restore his van, and later gave John a position on the farm. However, when they conversed in the barn, Victoria gave him a tin that had some of his personal items.
John wouldn’t let Victoria look at it, so when he opened it, he saw an Army tag with the name Aiden Moore etched on it. Fans of Emmerdale conjectured on Aiden Moore’s identity on X, formerly known as Twitter, speculating that he is John’s ex-partner and that they served together in the Army. Did John, however, murder him?
A viewer remarked: “Dead or ex-boyfriend? Interesting… Another person said, “I’ll be back with #Emmerdale tweets tomorrow.” Aidan Moore: who is he? Has John killed Aidan and stolen the dog tag, or is he just his ex-lover?”
A third said: “I think Aiden Moore may be one of four things. His former partner. He has no interest in the Sugden family because he had a guy step up, his incredibly compassionate stepdad. He is furious that his father, the cruel stepfather, put them in that situation. “#Emmerdale is his real name.”
But one Reddit member wrote: “Here’s some wiki knowledge about Emmerdale for you. We have already heard the last name Moore in the village, as there was a Karen Moore who lived there from 1984 to 1986.
“Karen Moore, a Hotten Market auctioneer’s assistant, had an affair with Jack Sugden and afterwards fell in love with Jack’s brother, Joe.”
“Pat, Jack’s wife, accepted Jack’s forgiveness, but she thought Karen posed a threat to their union. Karen permanently left Beckindale in August of 1986. It appears that the Emmerdale writers have been extensively searching the archives for John’s past.
