The identity of Will Taylor’s evil blackmailer was finally revealed in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale leaving viewers saying they ‘knew who it was all along’.

As viewers of the ITV soap will know, Will has been being blackmailed for several weeks. In recent episodes, the blackmailer had demanded £10,000 from him but in tonight’s episode Will scrambled to raise an extra £40,000 after the blackmail sum was increased.

After successfully securing the cash, Will returned home to an empty house. Kim couldn’t be seen anywhere, and he grew more concerned when the fire alarm started going off and had to pull burnt food out of the oven.

With no sign of Kim anywhere and the kitchen in the state it was, Will was becoming increasingly concerned that something bad had happened to Kim. His phone then ominously rang and the suspicious black mailer warned him “not to mess up” or else Kim would be in danger. Will was then sent a message with a location to meet the blackmailer at and was told to “be quick”.

Will rushed out to meet the blackmailer, where he found a fake Kim lying on the floor, an alarm going off and a note which read: “Time is running out for Kim, there’s no point looking.”

The blackmailer then rang Will but failed to show themselves, as Tell Me Lies by Fleetwood Mac started playing in the background. Will ran through the woods in search of the source of the music. When he finally located the music player, he also found a spade with “Dig” written on the top, and a hole in the ground. The sound of Kim screaming “help” could then be heard and appeared to be coming from beneath the soil.

Fearing that Kim had been buried alive, Will scrambled to dig up the dirt as fast as he could. But instead of finding his wife, he uncovered a coffin with his own name on it, and a walkie talkie as revealed as the source of Kim’s cries for help. Will was then whacked with a spade and fell into the hole, before Kim was revealed as his blackmailer.

Kim told him it was “too late to play dumb” and that he’d “dug himself a hole and it was time for him to lie in it”. Kim revealed that she was the mastermind behind the evil blackmailer, as she forced him to tell her that he and Rose slept together.

Will begged Kim not to walk away and “let Rose win”. As he asked “Where does this leave us?” Kim replied: “It’s so cute that you think there’s an us,” as she walked away with the bag of cash and left him in the coffin.

Emmerdale viewers took to social media to react to Kim being revealed as the blackmailer, as they said “they knew it was her all along”. On X, formerly known as Twitter, @terrettcorey said: “It was pretty obvious that it was all Kim’s doing but so glad to see this side of Kim back #emmerdale.”
