Someone in the village is blackmailing Emmerdale’s Will Taylor after he slept with his ex, Rose.
Emmerdale fans think they have rumbled who is really blackmailing Will Taylor (played by Dean Andrews)—and it’s not his wife, Kim Tate (Claire King). Will has been blackmailed by a mystery person ever since he slept with his ex, Rose (Christine Tremarco), which was all part of a bigger plan to take down Kim.
Initially, Rose had teamed up with Ruby Milligan (Beth Cordingly) to get to the Home Farm owner, but things took an unexpected turn when Rose disappeared and Will started receiving threats for money.
It is unclear who is blackmailing Will, and while some fans think it could be either his own wife Kim, or Ruby’s husband Caleb Milligan (Will Ash), others think it could be an unlikely villager – his son-in-law Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle).
Taking to a Facebook fan page dedicated to Emmerdale, one hardcore fan suggested it could be Jimmy King (Nick Miles). They wrote: “Jimmy is the one blackmailing Will without fail.”
And while Jimmy is the only one who knows about the threatening texts and calls, other viewers disagree with the theory.
“Jimmy isn’t that bright,” one fan replied while another agreed: “I’ll be shocked if it’s Jimmy, he doesn’t;t seem intelligent or ballsy enough.”
“No I think it’s Nicola, they need the money and she is the type to do it,” a third suggested.
However, one name that seemed to crop up a lot was Billy’s. “It’s Billy,” one fan suggested while someone else agreed: “Apparently Dawn finds him with a load of money next week.”
“I said that from the start,” Another went on while one said: “I think it’s either Billy or Dawn.”
One shared: “Reading all these comments, I am leaning towards Billy. Would set their little family up nicely. Although I never thought he’d be the type, but he seems very bitter now?” (sic)
However, in upcoming scenes, things take an unexpected turn for Will after his wife gets kidnapped – but who is behind it?
In upcoming episodes, Will is filled with regret after the blackmailer ups the stakes to £50k, and Will is left with no choice but to sell his shares in the haulage business to Caleb in order to get the money.
Although, when he arrives back at Home Farm, he realises Kim is missing. He is alarmed when he receives a call from his blackmailer informing him they’ve kidnapped her.
Following the blackmailer’s instructions, Will arrives at a woodland area, desperate to rescue his wife. He is puzzled when he discovers a mannequin dressed like Kim, taunting him further into the woods.
Has Kim really been kidnapped or could she and Billy be in it together?
