According to a recent fan theory on Emmerdale, Josh, Samson Dingle’s creepy pal, would murder him.
Josh has become Samson’s new pal in recent weeks. Unfortunately, troublemaker Josh didn’t take long to start pestering Matty Barton and his wife Amy, generating problems for the hamlet.
He started cursing at Matty and acting transphobic before attempting to rob him. Reluctantly, Samson watched in the background as he unintentionally got involved in something much greater than any of them.
Matty in trouble as Samson and Josh spin a tale
Josh shoved Samson into Matty, who was brandishing a knife, as he became agitated. Then Samson stumbled onto the blade and fell on the ground, bleeding.
Then, according to the two, Matty had attacked them. In an attempt to clear his name, Matty confronted Samson after the incident, which resulted in his imprisonment pending trial, where he is still being held.
But what are Samson and Josh hoping to achieve?
Emmerdale fan theorises murder for Samson
One Reddit user hypothesized that Samson would face dire consequences from the story in a post. One admirer questioned Josh’s ability to kill Samson.
“They should have Josh kill Samson for threatening to confess in order to make this a compelling plot.” The fan added, “That would sort of redeem Samson, get the wet wipe off the screens, clear Matty, and also jail the weird ‘Josh’ character they invented for one dimension.”
I assume Samson’s departure will mark the conclusion of this storyline? Another person agreed, saying, “I read that the actor was leaving at some point.”
I believe Josh is hiding something from Samson. A third viewer said, “Because prior to Matty stabbing Samson, he was being told to keep his mouth shut and then they went inside to have the altercation,” raising further questions about Josh’s potentially dangerous character.
Samson Dingle is expected to depart the serial opera later this year, according to a report from April. Some had already begun to speculate that he may be eliminated as part of the actor’s departure.
Samson is obviously enthralled by Josh. But is he going to die in this version of the story?
