The following week, as a heated disagreement evolves into love, Emmerdale’s Aaron Dingle and John Sugden give in to temptation once more.
The couple’s relationship is revisited in the ITV soap opera as John faces suspicion following a concerning occurrence at Butler’s Farm.
In the upcoming episodes, Mackenzie Boyd becomes trapped in one of the barns by an enraged bull, putting him in danger.
Mackenzie panics and braces himself to make a run for it. The animal gives chase and goes on the attack, leaving Mackenzie injured.
After being rescued, Mack voices the dark theory that John – who’s now working at the farm – engineered the situation following their recent tensions.
As Mack isn’t well enough to confront the situation himself, Aaron takes the lead and corners John in the barn.
Aaron accuses John and they bicker, but passion quickly takes over. Is this just a physical connection or could genuine feelings develop?
Earlier this month, John’s first scenes saw him introduced as a guy that Aaron had connected with on an app.
Aaron was heading off to meet John at a hotel when he found him broken down at the side of the road. They hooked up in the back of John’s van, but John then drove off with Aaron’s keys and wallet still in the vehicle.
Since then, Aaron and Mack have both been embroiled in a tit-for-tat feud with John. Aaron was also rocked by the revelation that John is the long-lost brother of Robert Sugden, his ex-husband.
Meanwhile, in follow-on scenes next week, Mack’s wife Charity suggests they should team up to take further revenge against John over the bull incident.
Charity’s plans are interrupted when Mack collapses on the sofa. Will he be okay – and is John really responsible for what happened?
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Thursday, August 29.
