In forthcoming Emmerdale scenes, Amelia Spencer will receive a warning over Tom King’s falsehoods.

In Friday’s (September 13) episode, viewers discovered that Amelia has been covertly assisting her boyfriend Tom ever since he left the hamlet to avoid Cain’s wrath.

Amelia has been ignoring Tom’s threats to be careful as he manipulates the teenager in an attempt to get even with his estranged wife Belle.

In subsequent scenes, Chas Dingle will witness Amelia hiding extra food in her luggage, leading him to surmise that she must be seeing Tom behind closed doors.

Belle is appalled when Chas tries to convey the extent of Tom’s emotional and physical abuse of her, and she is even more shocked when Amelia stands up for him.

Chas goes to Amy and Kerry Wyatt to share her concerns that Tom is using Amelia. Kerry immediately wants to confront Amelia head-on before Amy encourages her to be more tactful.

Amelia turns up in the middle of this discussion. Realising the women are worried about her relationship, Amelia once again defends dating Tom and then storms off.

Amy warns Kerry that if they try to push Amelia too hard, she’ll likely isolate herself further from them.

However, Amy will realise something must be done when she later sees Amelia arguing with Vanessa Woodfield over Tom’s firing from the vet’s surgery.

Amy later tries to gently bring up her concerns about Tom. Amelia resists at first but is given something to think about when Amy suggests Tom may be lying to her.

These scenes air next week.

Ahead of these dramatic moments, Belle actor Eden Taylor-Draper recently hinted that Tom will ultimately face “justice” for his abusive conduct.

“The Dingles are the most loyal family, so it’s, obviously, it’s going to rock a few boats, so we’ll see,” she told The Mirror. “I feel like we need justice in a storyline like this. I feel like if justice is served everyone will be happy.”
