When she finds out his name is John Sugden, she is shocked. Later on, Eric clumsily admits that John might be her half-brother and the child of Jack Sugden, her late father.
Unexpectedly, John—who has just arrived—answers Mackenzie Boyd’s phone regarding a breakdown that occurred nearby back in the hamlet. John’s reappearance surprises Eric and Victoria, and his presence in the town quickly causes friction. However, are Victoria and John related to each other?
Only Victoria and Sarah Sugden, two of the most recognizable families in the Dales, are still living in the village. The Sugden family has been declining in size over the past few years.
Next Monday, actor Oliver Farnworth—a well-known figure to viewers of soap operas—will make his screen debut as John Sugden.
The 41-year-old actor previously starred in Coronation Street and Hollyoaks, where he portrayed Gavin Rodwell’s pal Andy Carver, the son of Michael Rodwell.
But after learning of his involvement in Michael’s heart attack, serial killer Pat Phelan killed Andy, ending his time at Weatherfield.
Oliver is now expected to cause havoc in his new role as John Sugden, however specifics about his persona are still unknown. Fans of Emmerdale will have to wait until Monday, August 5th, to see the drama play out.
