The next week’s Emmerdale will feature Laurel Thomas making a momentous decision that will leave her devastated in the wake of her recent heart attack and breakup with Jai Sharma.
Next week’s episodes of Emmerdale will see more heartache for Charlotte Bellamy’s character, Laurel Thomas, as her split from Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) takes a sour turn.
When Jai refused to tell his sibling the truth about why Amit (Anil Goutam) departed the village last week, Laurel grew impatient. Jai goes too far as their fight gets out of hand and insults Laurel’s late spouse Ashley in a hurtful way.
But after their row, Laurel had a heart attack and was rushed to hospital. When she came around, Laurel told Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) of Jai’s ruthless plan to take his shares of The HOP. Laurel also told Jai their marriage was over.
This week, Laurel is concerned when she realises that her choice doesn’t seem to have sunk in for Jai, who still seems unusually positive about their marriage and thinks they will stay together.
Meanwhile, Laurel’s stepdaughter Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham ) is also unhappy when Jai vows to continue living at Mulberry Cottage for a while longer.
While Laurel recovers from her heart attack, the businessman claims that he is acting in the best interests of the children, but Laurel has already made up her mind.
Jai’s delusions persist in Emmerdale this coming week, as he holds onto hope that he may save his marriage and move on after their breakup.
However, Jai’s attitude quickly shifts when Laurel says that they should notify their kids that their marriage is ending and they would be divorcing.
The former couple go ahead and break the sad news to the kids. Wasting no time, Laurel then tells Jai that she wants him to move out of Mulberry Cottage and back into Holdgate Farm.
Although Jai obliges, he insists on taking his son Archie with him. Laurel is forced to say goodbye to her stepson in an emotional moment.
