Fans of Emmerdale are certain that Piper will “expose” Tom King because the cherished dog was seen to be healthy and happy in this Wednesday’s episode.
In a stunning turn of events on Emmerdale, it was discovered that Piper the dog was still alive and well, even though it had been allegedly put to death by the evil veterinarian Tom King (James Chase), who was trying to control his estranged wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).

After seeing her funeral in the Dales, viewers at home were taken aback when the cherished pet was given to a new family.

Many people on Twitter expressed relief at Piper’s survival in response to this unexpected turn of events. The makers of the show had received a deluge of Ofcom objections before the reveal.

“I sincerely apologize to the scriptwriters when I thought you killed Piper off and berated you for it,” a social media user commented. I have you back in my good graces now. Viewers of the Yorkshire-based soap opera are now making assumptions that Piper might be a key player in Tom’s demise.

There’s a lot of conjecture that Belle might be about to enjoy a spectacular reunion with her best friend Piper, who may have been duped into finding a new home by the cunning Tom.

“He’s given Piper to a couple and spun a line that she was an abused dog,” conjectured one follower. For she does appear to be abused, isn’t that right? Will Tom make the mistake of failing to update her microchip information?

Someone else suggested: “So, my theory is that Belle will see the new owners with Piper and she’ll realise what Tom has done.” According to the Mirror, a third agreed, saying, “I think Piper will spot Belle and run to her.”

Belle has taken the initiative to ask for help from law enforcement as she struggles with the coercive control she is subjected to. Belle uses Clare’s Law to try and find out if Tom has ever had a violent domestic past.

The anticipation builds as viewers await the climax of this harrowing storyline. It comes after the soap received almost 300 Ofcom complaints over the Piper storyline with some fans suggesting that Emmerdale bosses have “gone too far”.
