Since her return to Coronation Street after a lengthy absence, Lauren Bolton has been causing some problems on the cobblestones.
Fans of Coronation Street believe Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), a previous resident of the cobbles, may be connected to troublemaker Lauren Bolton (Caitlin Rose Fitton).
Lauren just returned to Weatherfield after being away following the arrest of the far-right extremist gang she was a part of.
Lauren wanted to meet up with her Max Turner (Paddy Bever), who served a six-month prison sentence for his involvement with the organization and was also behind bars when Lauren’s dad, Reece Bolton (Scott Anson), went to prison.
Unfortunately for her, she learned that Max had moved on and was now seeing Sabrina Adetiba (Luana Santos), and the news wasn’t well received.
In a moment of rage, Lauren destroyed David Platt’s (Jack P Shepherd) salon and was later imprisoned.
Because of Lauren’s past and affiliation with the sketchy group, some viewers have theorized that Bethany, who was last spotted on the streets in 2020, may be related to her.
Bethany is said to be making a comeback, and Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper), the villain, cultivated her before she exposed his gang.
“Wonder if Lauren is one of Nathan’s victims due to Bethany coming back next year #Corrie,” one user speculated on Twitter. (sic)
Instead, others speculate that she might be connected to Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson), who left Weatherfield last year.
“#Corrie Lauren is probably Harvey’s daughter or something, or Rick Neelan’s secret lovechild,” one viewer commented. “She’s gonna have a link to someone on the cobbles!”
Could Lauren truly have a connection to a former character?
Both played a significant role in the soap opera, adding depth to Lauren’s character.
It would make sense for Lauren to be the connection for either Bethany or Kelly to return home since they both departed Weatherfield with the doors left open.
Will Bethany or Kelly return to try to assist Lauren if she gets into more trouble?
Since her father was sentenced to prison, Lauren has been left alone, and things were made worse by Max’s rejection. Will she soon form a connection with one of the iconic figures that might be making a comeback?
