After being sexually assaulted by a recently reunited acquaintance from her past, Lydia Dingle of Emmerdale has been traumatized.
The nefarious scheme of Craig Reed, played by Ben Addis, has been “worked out” by Emmerdale viewers.
After being sexually assaulted by Craig, Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) avoided going to work on Monday’s episode of the ITV soap opera, only for Craig to later show up at her house.
He suggested that she keep quiet and quickly return to work after accusing the two of having an affair with her husband Sam Dingle (James Hooton).
Craig huddled up to Sam as he entered Lydia’s house once more, and Sam extended an invitation for him to stay for dinner.
Fans began to worry that Craig was planning another attack because of Lydia’s silence and commitment to returning to her job.
He’s going to hurt her again if she returns to work, poor Lydia #Emmerdale, said one admirer.
@unsworth1live wrote on Twitter: “#Emmerdale Lydia is being tightly held by Craig. The only way out is to tell Sam what occurred, but she’s not in a hurry to do so.
“That Craig has his feet firmly on the ground. Lydia is a poor girl. “#Emmerdale,” posted @Jamal06122771.
By the time Lydia informs someone that Craig raped her, there won’t be any proof to back up her claims, said @mikepriestley13. She’s had a shower, so the DNA from him will not be on her as the clothes have been burned. I highly doubt the office has CCTV, else he wouldn’t have done it. Maybe #Emmerdale brings up his past for him.
“Like a horror movie… here comes creepy rapist Craig again like a rotten smell just won’t go away #Emmerdale,” tweeted @MattZeeMiller.
Comment from @moamerica: “@emmerdale Please speak up, Lydia, because Craig gives me the shivers.
In a shocking turn of events, Craig implied Lydia had approved of what had occurred and told her to report back to work.
She questioned, “How can I?” He responded, “Just walk through the door, it’s easy. We’re pals again, so there won’t be any more hiccups.
If you don’t return to the office, Sam and Samson (Sam Hall) would ask why, he continued. Samson will be concerned about his situation since, if he gets into college, this work experience might truly make a difference for him and help him stand out from the crowd.
Sam will ask for explanations from both of us. I like the guy a lot.
“I don’t want to admit that I embarrassed him. Sam, a nice man, cannot overlook this.
I’d hate for your marriage to dissolve if he finds out that we betrayed him.
While Lydia begged him to go, Sam soon showed there, forcing her to drink tea with her rapist.
Will Lydia have the guts to accuse Craig? Will he trick her into returning to her job, or what?
