Former Home and Away star Sharni Vinson returning to screens with reality TV role

The actress played Cassie Turner in the soap between 2005 and 2008. Cassie was involved in some major storylines addressing several serious topics, including abuse in childhood, domestic abuse and living with HIV.

After her departure from the soap, Vinson went to Hollywood, starring in films from Step Up 3D to horror movie You’re Next.

Now, it has been revealed that she is returning to Australian screens in Survivor: Heroes v Villains, which premieres on Channel 10 on January 30.

In this season of Survivor, both returning participants and newcomers are divided into two tribes: heroes and villains.

Sharni, one of the heroes, is revealed in a trailer, saying: “Everyone knows that the hero always wins.”

She also discusses how participating in a horror movie has helped her develop her survival abilities and how people refer to her as a “scream queen.” Will her team find her useful?

It’s interesting to note that returning Survivor star Jordie Hansen, who is getting married to another former Home and Away actor, Sam Frost, is one of the competitors on the villains’ side. Additionally, the pair is set to become parents together.

On the serial, it was recently revealed that rapper and actor Kyle Shilling would be joining the cast of Home and Away as a newbie named Mali Hudson, who has ties to a Summer Bay local.

His connection to a fan favorite character was established in his debut scenes, which have already broadcast on Australian television. If you’re interested in learning more, you may do so right away.
