Fans of General Hospital haven’t seen popular actor Robert Palmer Watkins’ portrayal of Dillon Quartermaine in what seems like an eternity. Dillon departed Port Charles to work on a movie in Hollywood the last time we saw him, but that doesn’t mean we forget to recognize his birthday!

Happy Birthday, Robert Palmer Watkins

That is due to the fact that he was born on June 18, 1988, making today his 35th birthday! Watkins first became interested in performing when he was a young boy. For the coveted position of Danny in Barksdale Theater’s production of Grease, he outperformed hundreds of other teenagers.

He studied musical theater for two years at Christopher Newport University. After that, he made the bold decision to pack up everything and go to the west to pursue his dream of being an actor. Later, he received his diploma from Hollywood’s esteemed American Musical and Dramatic Academy.

Walkins shifted his attention to television, making his debut as a guest star on shows including Frat House Musical, The Girl’s Guide to Depravity, Sketch Juice, Devil in the Details, Welcome Home, Loser, and My Crazy Ex for Spike. He also had an appearance in the movie Back to Awesome and the thriller Safari.

Fans of General Hospital were naturally ecstatic when he assumed the role of Dillon Quartermaine, Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) youngest son, in 2015. He developed feelings for Kiki (Kristen Alderson) while he was on the program, despite Morgan (Bryan Craig) still being in love with her.

Eventually, the two were together, although their romance was short-lived. After two years, he departed the position and went on to star in Cupid’s Match, The Final Rose, Executive Protection, and 5 Weddings alongside Bo Derek.
