Her previous relationship actually ended when she awoke to find a dead man in her bed who had left a trail of disastrous surprises in his wake. Since then, Alexis has been single and appears to be content with her single status. Fans have been talking about her friendship with Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) ever since they started hanging out, sparring, and developing it.

There is a valid argument to be made that someone can have that kind of companionship without romance, despite the fact that some people might argue that everyone deserves a companion in their life.

They already confide in one another about their darkest secrets. They already rely on one another during difficult times.
They already live and work together in the same families. Is Gregory occupying a place in Alexis’ life where a more reliable man might be?
General Hospital Spoilers — What Could Have Been?
We are all aware that Gregory is leaving. While the speed of that untimely departure is unknown, we can anticipate that in the interim, much like Mike Corbin (Max Gail), his health and abilities will deteriorate.
Alexis has demonstrated that she is secure enough to handle anything life throws at her. Does that mean her family won’t need to worry about her as she watches Gregory’s health deteriorate and eventually bid him farewell?
Will she realize along the way that she has been in love with him for a while? We’re interested to see how this potential couple develops, but it’s still unclear what will happen.
