The recent arrest of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has helped Nina realize that life with Sonny is more than just fancy dinners and mouthwatering marinara sauce. Sonny needs a wife who is aware of the nature of his business. The recent scene in which Carly encouraged Nina was significant. She gave Nina the advice to “lay low” and avoid attracting attention now that the Feds had Sonny in custody.

Sonny believes that Nina needs to be woken up. Nina needs to realize that Sonny’s business will always play a part in any relationships he has.

As a result of Nina keeping Sonny’s family from learning of his existence, Carly is aware of the inner workings of the mob.

When Sonny was in Nixon Falls with Nina, the family was supported by Carly and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Even though Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) objected, Carly knew instinctively that it was best to delete the flash drive containing all of the damaging evidence.

Carly is aware that Sonny is in difficulty, which reflects poorly on the entire family. Because she is a realist, she destroyed the evidence.

Sonny will think back on his relationship with Carly when he realizes she has been his ride-or-die loyal ex-wife, especially after learning of Nina’s betrayal. Nina is not comparable in any way.

For as long as anyone can remember, Sonny and Carly will be together. They are a team and don’t just have kids in common. They are connected in a unique way.
