Harley Bonner, an Australian soap actor who joined Home and Away less than a year ago, has departed the show.
Bonner, who portrayed Dr. Logan Bennett on the serial, has departed the show, according to a statement from Channel Seven, which produces it.
“When production starts in the coming weeks, Channel Seven can confirm Harley will not return to Home and Away,” the corporation said in a statement to Daily Mail Australia.
“Harley leaves with our best wishes and sincere thanks for his work on the show,” the statement concluded.
Bonner’s departure from the series may have been pushed by Channel Seven’s vaccine mandate, which mandates that all actors on shows be vaccinated against Covid-19.
The soap was set to resume filming in Australia on Monday, January 10th, and Bonner’s part is not expected to be recast.
The actor, who is the son of Carla Bonner from the TV show Neighbours, has yet to comment on his departure.
Bonner is not the first actor to leave Home and Away.
Former Bachelor Australia star and Home and Away actor Sam Frost, who portrayed Jasmine Delaney, announced his departure from the show in December.
Frost had announced on her social media that she was not vaccinated against Covid-19.
“Sam’s decision to leave Home and Away is one we embrace and respect. “Sam leaves with our heartfelt thanks and best wishes for the future,” Channel Seven said in a statement at the time.
