Tammin Sursok, a former star of Home and Away, is scheduled to join rival serial Neighbours.
In a series of Instagram Stories on Tuesday, the 38-year-old actress updated followers on her role.
Tammin revealed a sneak peek at her wardrobe test in one of her posts.
The South African-born actress also uploaded a photo of a script cover page, referring to Neighbours as “a short gig before my next play.”
Then, in a video, she stated she was just leaving a hair and outfit test and that the job would take ‘a month or two to shoot.
She later published a mirror photo in which she was dressed in a white top, tight black leggings, and strappy heels.
She captioned the post: ‘Obsessed with this character. So much fun.
Sursok discreetly joined the cast of Neighbours last week, 18 years after leaving rival soap show Home And Away, according to the Daily Mail Australia.
According to a reliable source in the industry, the Australian actress is expected to appear in a cameo role on Channel 10’s long-running drama, which will begin filming in Melbourne soon.
Tammin will temporarily relocate from Queensland to Melbourne while she finishes her six-week filming schedule, which is set to end in March.
While the actress has yet to reveal her new role, she has made no secret of her ambitions to visit Melbourne.
Tammin posted on Instagram this week that she and her film producer husband Sean McEwen, as well as their children Phoenix, eight, and Lennon, too, were planning a 17-hour car trip from Queensland to Melbourne.
Tammin chose not to reveal the cause for their trip, instead merely writing on Instagram, “We have a road trip coming up soon and I’m very happy.”
Tammin is expected to spend some time with her family in Melbourne before Sean returns to Queensland with the kids for their first day of school.
Tammin has experience in the soap industry, having played Dani Sutherland on Home And Away from 2000 to 2004 before relocating to the United States to pursue a career in Hollywood.
She has previously credited the beloved Australia series for her big break in the industry.
Following her move to Los Angeles, the actress landed the part of Colleen Carlton on The Young and the Restless, which she played from 2007 until 2009.
She also famously portrayed Jenna Marshall on Pretty Little Liars.
Tammin finally returned to Australia with her family in June last year.
In May, the actress revealed that she would gladly return to Home And Away for a cameo part, telling New Idea magazine: ‘I would definitely do a cameo for the fans.’
‘It’s where I started and what gave me everything in my career – if it wasn’t for that show I don’t know where my life would’ve gone,’ she said.
‘I’m very grateful for the experience and the opportunity and so I would definitely do a cameo.’
