Home and Away star Kawakawa Fox-Reo looked completely different in a resurfaced acting clip which featured the former soap star with long hair and a British accent
The star of Home and Away, Kawakawa Fox-Reo, was unrecognizable in a number of tapes that have come to light during his time at acting school.
From 2020 until 2023, the actor portrayed Nikau Parata. Earlier this year, he said goodbye to Summer Bay in order to move to New York and live with his love, Bella Nixon (Courtney Miller). The character reappeared in Friday’s (October 6) episode of the Channel 5 soap opera following his communication with his uncle Tane (Ethan Browne).
Nikau disclosed that his mother had suffered a broken collarbone and leg in an accident. Tane followed suit after he revealed that he was taking a plane to New Zealand with Bella to be with her.
Long before landing the role of Nikau, the actor attended drama school and shared a series of throwback videos on streaming platform Twitch. In one of the videos, the New Zealand-born star had a mullet and a British accent, making him worlds away from the character he played for three years.
Kawakawa giggled as she remarked on the videos, saying, “They’re pretty funny.” I was laughing so hard when I watched them again today. A few of them are extremely s**t. In an additional video, the celebrity performed a scene from the 2008 dark comedy In Bruges while wearing a navy suit and blue tie.
“So, my first observation is that I recently got a new haircut! “It’s kind of funny, the accent is dog s**t,” Kawakawa told his supporters. “And the hair and the pimply face, bro… yeah.”
His followers couldn’t help but compare him to singer Harry Styles due to his long hair in one of the types. One fan commented: “Okay, now you look like Harry Styles back then.”
A second added: “Omg, I’ve never laughed so hard.” While a third echoed: “Your hair back then reminds me of Harry Styles when One Direction first debuted.”
Following his exit on Home and Away, Courtney paid tribute to her co-star with a behind-the-scenes snap from their final scene together.
“These past three and a bit years were a fun ride,” the actress gushed, adding: “It was so effortless for Bella to Love you. You’ll be missed.”
