Could the former couple get back on track?

Rose Delaney from Home and Away will experience another romantic setback in UK scenes the following week because she keeps thinking about her ex, Mali Hudson.

In scenes that aired on Channel 5 in the UK last month, Rose and Mali decided to call it quits because they were too different from one another. Mali had questioned Rose’s priorities after her brother, Xander Delaney, had been brutally attacked.

In following scenes, Xander will continue to make fun of Rose’s relationship with Mali and urge his sister to express her feelings for him to the latter. Rose, however, declines, sure that she couldn’t take Mali rejecting her once more.

But once Bree Cameron encourages her, she quickly changes her mind, and before long, Rose is requesting Mali to teach her how to surf.

The former couple’s bond seems to be deeper than ever once they’re on the water. After their lesson, Rose comes in and tries to kiss Mali, but she is humiliated when he pulls away.

Rose is manning the bar at Salt, reeling from Mali’s latest rejection of her, and finds comfort in Xander’s companionship and his drinks.

Bree is enlisted by Xander for more moral support, and before escorting Rose’s friend home, she lends a shoulder to cry on.

Rose realizes she needs to end her connection with Mali for good the following morning while suffering from a hangover.

Is Rose and Mali’s story really over?

Rose’s portrayer, actress Kirsty Marillier, recently spoke exclusively to Digital Spy about Rose’s response to Xander’s attack, her romance with Mali, and what the future might hold for the two of them.

People have taken a liking to them and their connection, she said. “However, if they want to get back together, I think they truly do have some work to do.

It hasn’t gone over well because it’s a rather significant hurdle to face early on in a relationship.
