I never saw myself as a professional actor on a set with props, costumes, scripts, and a director. I’m still holding out hope that the dream will end. What would be my dream role, a question that both fans and the media frequently ask me? That would be like asking me to pick between wine, cheese, and chocolate.
When I was younger, I aspired to be Destiny’s Child’s Michelle because, despite my best fantasies, I could never be Beyoncé. I used to adore watching WWE Smackdown on Saturdays, so I made up the character Thunder from Down Under, who entered the stadium while performing a crocodile wrestling move while wearing an akubra and dancing to an ACDC song. My father instantly dispelled my fantasy by saying that my character had a fart-like voice. However, throughout my actual nursing career, the only job I truly imagined myself playing was a nurse working at a hospital.
It was a dream come true for young Thunder to have the honor of portraying Ziggy for such a long time. It’s almost inconceivable how much possibility there is in playing many characters.
Roles cannot be selected by actors. They go to the audition, become extremely lucky if they get the part, and play the part exactly as it is written. Following the completion of that role, they move on to the next one, which is picked by the director, producer, and casting agency.
If I had to select, there would be too many options, but let’s suspend disbelief for a moment.
My father used to tell me that Bad Boys 3 would be my first movie when I initially started acting school. I not only remember the plots of the first two movies in the series by memory, but I also know the order in which the soundtrack occurs. These movies truly are pieces of art. Although I am obviously nowhere to be found now that Bad Boys 3 has been out, I am confident that Bad Boys 4 will somehow locate me. I’m making it known to the universe.
Women’s kick-butt videos have always been my favorite! I want to be a part of the idea that women are strong and powerful regardless of their appearance, as seen in Wonder Woman, Xena, Lara Croft, G.I. Jane, and Million Dollar Baby. I enjoy seeing genuine ladies portrayed on screen. flaws, imperfections, and innate perfection. The more authentic human condition stories there are, the more empathy there will be in the world. I adore love stories as well. My favorite types of movies to watch are romantic comedies. I frequently watch Julie and Julia, It’s Complicated, Something’s Got to Give, Hitch, and Bridget Jones; to be able to tell a tale like that would be a dream come true.
I adore tales that uplift the spirit, inspire hope, and lessen loneliness in the hearts of those who read them. I hope the projects I’m working on accomplish those goals (and maybe even let me shoot a gun, if by some stroke of luck and miracle I get to work again!)
