Claire Sweeney was beaming as she enjoyed a trip abroad with Ricky Hatton. The couple have been dating since they competed on the latest season of Dancing On Ice.

They regularly share updates on social media from their blossoming romance. Claire has taken to Instagram to reveal they have jetted off to Tenerife together.

The Coronation Street star wore a vibrant pink dress as they enjoyed a meal out in the Canary Islands. She said: “Having a lovely dinner @thaibotanico in Tenerife with @rickyhitmanhatton”

Fans took to the comments and said Claire has never looked happier as she was “glowing” on the trip abroad. Debra said: “You’ve always looked lovely, but you’re looking extra lovely ‘glowing’ “

Cathy said: “The most happiest I’ve ever seen u look ” Pam added: “Claire you look Fabulous, have a fab time both of you xx”

Claire’s Coronation Street co-star, Sally Carman, took to the comments and said: “Beauty.” Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick added: “Beautiful.”

Claire has previously shared the secrets to their blossoming romance as she told Lorraine: “I’ve known Ricky for like 25 years and always passed each other at events. I first met him in La Manga in the early 2000’s, then we did Dance for Comic Relief together 2013, and then we met on Dancing on Ice and it’s great.”

She also shared one thing they have in common, as she added: “He makes me laugh and we both like Only Fools and Horses, so what’s not to like!”

The former welterweight champion said he knew there was a “half a chance” he could find romance with Claire on Dancing On Ice due to their relationship status. He added: “I always knew when I turned up and saw she was going on the ice that she was single and I knew I was single.

“And I knew how we had gotten on so well every time we met each other. I probably thought I had half a chance, yeah. And as it turned out it was yeah.”

Hatton couldn’t be happier with the Coronation Street and Brookside star. He said: “It’s amazing [to find] someone you’ve probably known for 25 years. I’ve been in relationships and she’s been in relationships.

“I’ve had my kids and she’s had her kids. And then 25 years later we found each other. It’s quite a nice story.” Hatton may have crashed out of Dancing On Ice in the first round but his experience on the show was positive so he wouldn’t rule out another reality style programme in the future.

He said: “I’ll certainly have another look at a show like Dancing On Ice. I did my exhibition with Barrera, which got a lot of good feedback and it got me back into good shape. My documentary came out on Sky Documentaries and that was up for a BAFTA.

“I’ve been inducted into the Hall of Fame and I went on Dancing on Ice and I’ve met Claire. Even though I’m retired, I’m keeping myself busy and that’s what I’ve done over the last two years. If there was another show, I would definitely have a look because, even though I was out in the first round, I enjoyed it.”
