Fans of Ella Forster from Emmerdale have ‘rumbled’ who her secret sibling is on the ITV soap opera, and they claim that Ella is hiding even another enormous secret.
In a major plot twist for the ITV soap opera, Emmerdale fans believe Ella Forster and a villager are linked.
When Ella (Paula Lane), a newcomer, made her debut earlier this year, it was obvious that she was concealing a very important secret. And in true soap opera tradition, her big secret was eventually made public. Ella killed her best friend when she was eleven years old, and she was imprisoned for the crime. Ella, formerly known as Ruth, was set free and has since traveled the nation for the remainder of her life.
Arriving at the Dales in January, Ella hoped she could finally settle down especially as she struck up a romance with GP Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson). However, when he found out about her being a child killer, Liam called it quits, unable to deal with it, following the murder of his own daughter Leanna (Mimi Slinger).
As a result, Ella fled the village back in June, but she made her dramatic comeback recently – thinking she was pregnant with Liam’s baby. However, it turned out she wasn’t, leaving her devastated. Since then, Ella has settled back into village life – but viewers are certain she’s hiding another major secret: that she is related to a village resident.
Fans online have shared their thoughts that Ella could be related to another soap newbie John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth). John made his arrival in the Dales last month, as the long-lost son of Jack Sugden (Clive Hornby).
And it didn’t take long for him to ruffle plenty of feathers, as well as strike up a turbulent romance with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller). John has also left plenty of fans wondering if he is who he says he is, following the discovery of a dog tag with the name Aiden printed on it.
But in what would be a huge twist, fans reckon John and Ella are related. On a Reddit thread, people shared their theories about John’s identity, with one writing: “It seems they are setting up something but I don’t really know what could happen because there’s a lot of ways they could go with it/him. We don’t know much about him as of right now.”
Someone else wrote: “One more theory could be that John and Ella might be related or something since they have both been living in their Car/Van. They try to keep their relation a secret at all times so that no one finds out. they both could perhaps join forces to help each other destroy the Sugden dynasty etc.” A third agreed and penned: “I could see this happening! Brother and sister?”
As another pointed out: “Why is he living in his car? He doesn’t look like he doesn’t have any money, he’s well dressed etc. So is he running from something/someone. What’s up with his family? Did he really have a loving ‘father.’” A fifth fan replied: “The situation with John living in his van is exactly similar to Ella living in her car.”
