Ethan’s unexpected passing last week after he passed away at home shocked the Anderson family of Emmerdale.
Following the death of Ethan Anderson (played by Emile John), viewers of Emmerdale have demanded that one character be removed from the show.
Watchers of the ITV soap opera were taken aback last week when Ethan was abruptly killed off. After collapsing, Ethan, who had arrived in the Dales in 2021, was taken to the hospital and later declared deceased.
A few days prior, Ethan was struck and killed by Ruby Fox-Milligan (Beth Cordingly), who was vengeful for Ethan abandoning her son Nicky (Lewis Cope) to die in a vehicle crash.
As Ethan fell while getting ready for court, Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) and Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) were fighting to keep him alive.
The remaining villagers were informed by Charles and Manpreet at the conclusion of the episode that Ethan had not survived. Viewers have subsequently asserted, nevertheless, that the incorrect family member was eliminated.
Online, fans weren’t shy about expressing their opinions about Claudette (Flo Wilson). One fan even went so far as to call her “unwatchable.” “Claudette is awful, serves no purpose whatsoever,” yelled a second person.
Another fan called her a “odious oldie,” saying she didn’t deserve to be in the “oldies” section of the ITV soap opera and compared her to veterans Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox) and Zak (Steve Halliwell).
In agreement, another person asked, “While I was never bothered about Ethan as a character, what is the point in killing him off?” in response to the question of why Ethan was killed rather than Claudette.
A fifth wrote, pleading with supervisors to fire Claudette: “First Ethan, can Claudette be next please.”
Emile made an appearance in a farewell video on Emmerdale’s social media channels following his exit from the soap opera. The performer said, “Good evening, everyone. It is regrettable to inform you that Ethan Anderson has passed away and will no longer be in the village if you are viewing this.
Emile continued, “I just want to say a huge thank you to all the cast and all the crew that I have worked with over these three years.” with gratitude toward the cast and crew. It’s gone by so quickly. Many members of the cast have adopted me as one of their own.”
“I’ve really learned so much on this journey, it’s been such a ride,” he said in closing. I would like to express my gratitude to all of the viewers who have continued to tune in and follow Ethan’s journey. Many thanks for that.”
