According to next week’s spoilers, Moira Dingle and Ruby Fox-Milligan are trapped in a burning barn due to a tragic fire. Meanwhile, a terrifying development has left Will Taylor terrified, as he continues to be blackmailed by an unknown person.

Death ‘sealed’ as Moira and Ruby trapped in a burning barn
Emmerdale will air explosive scenes next week as Moira and Ruby are trapped in a burning barn with multiple lives in danger. In scenes this week, as Moira increasingly acts unlike herself, she shares a shock affectionate moment with stepson Nate, who firmly rejects her, but Caleb has seen it all from a slightly different angle.
Soap fans will recall that the duo previously had an affair years ago when Nate first moved to the village, which left Moira’s marriage to Cain in jeopardy. The trio have since managed to put the events behind them but it appears the storyline is revisited in upcoming scenes.
Emmerdale will air explosive scenes next week as Moira and Ruby are trapped in a burning barn
In spoilers next week, Moira’s husband Cain is taken aback and reeling to hear about Moira’s ‘kiss’ with Nate from Caleb. When Moira plays down the moment, Cain is left utterly stunned to which a furious Moira storms out. Meanwhile, Nate is left panicked when Cain turns up looking for an explanation.
When furious Cain returns home, Moira is distressed to learn that he has beaten up Nate. Cain then confronts her about her indiscretion to which a flicker of déjà vu begins to intrude Moira’s thoughts. Shocked and stressed by the events, she slaps Cain to which he leaves.
It’s not long until Ruby arrives at the barn to gloat but soon feels sorry for Moira when she’s unresponsive to the jibes. As stressed Moira spills tractor fuel in the barn, Ruby’s voice begins to blur with her old nemesis Emma Barton’s, who Moira killed back in 2017, and an unrecognisable Moira raises her shotgun at a freaked out Ruby. It’s not long until a stressed Moira padlocks the barn, seeing Emma instead of Ruby.
Things go from bad to worse when Moira fires a warning shot into the air, frightening Ruby, as the shot hits a light bulb, causing a spark to take hold. A tussle for the shotgun ends with Moira dazing Ruby with a blow to the head. It’s not long until a hazy and shaken Moira comes out of her daze, leaving her confused about what has happened.
Multiple lives are in danger
In explosive scenes, the spark catches the tractor fuel and quickly becomes a blaze as Moira freezes, helpless next to Ruby’s body. Meanwhile, seeing the smoke coming from the barn at a distance, Mack tries to get in touch with Moira. With no luck, he hurries to the quad bike parked nearby in the field and meets an also worried John outside the barn, where they both make to go inside.
It’s not long until Cain, Caleb and Chas learn of the fire as they race towards the barn. Cain, despite his current anger with his wife, attempts to enter the burning barn while a panicking Chas tries to hold him back from dashing inside. With several residents trapped in the burning barn, it’s not long until a huge explosion throws them all to the ground… will everyone be okay?
Heartbreaking exit after five years
In scenes this week, Nate admits to Mack that he’s been offered a job opportunity in Scotland but needs to make a hasty decision, revealing he has got until tomorrow to accept it. Nate is left torn over the opportunity as it means he will be leaving his family, estranged wife Tracy Metcalfe and daughter Frankie behind. It’s not long until Nate tells Tracy his news, where they sleep together and she agrees to go to Shetland with him as a family.
Can Nate really leave alone and as the guilty party despite being innocent?
However, their sweet family plans are thwarted next week when Caleb confronts Nate about what he saw with Moira in the barn, leaving Tracy totally heartbroken to hear what has happened as Caleb reveals all despite not knowing the real truth. It’s not long until Cain arrives and is fuming to hear of Nate’s betrayal but as Nate tries to explain, Cain snaps and punches him to the floor before attacking him.
Despite Nate continuing to deny the accusations, Cain walks out disowning his son in emotional scenes. Meanwhile, an upset Tracy tells Nate she can no longer go to Shetland with him and runs out, giving him five minutes to explain and say goodbye to their daughter Frankie. Can Nate really leave alone and as the guilty party despite being innocent?
Will terrified in new blackmailing twist
In scenes this week, Will is the victim of a sick blackmail plot. But it seems it’s not ex Rose Jackson or daughter Dawn Taylor behind the scheme, leaving Will terrified. He initially believes Rose is behind it all given their recent drama, but a later discovery teases it can’t be her after all.
And in spoilers next week, Will is left further terrified in a new blackmailing development. In the scenes, Will is on edge to hear from the blackmailer and determined to find out who he’s dealing with as he prepares to meet his fate. It’s not long until a nervous Will waits in a lay-by for the blackmailer but when Caleb informs him of the fire raging in the barn, Will can do nothing but follow them and hides his blackmail money.
This means that Will has missed the drop and later a call and threatening message from his blackmailer leaves Will struggling to control his fear as he tries to support the Dingles at the barn fire… who is blackmailing Will?
