Fans and friends flooded the star’s latest posts with love, thrilled with what they were seeing.
Fans were astounded by the images Johnny Ruffo and his girlfriend Tahnee Sims shared from a memorable vacation they took together.
The couple has been posting multiple pictures to Instagram from Queenstown, New Zealand, where they have been taking part in a number of adventures.
Ruffo, a former star of Home and Away who is currently battling terminal disease, and his dance partner most recently dazzled audiences with aerial photographs of snow-capped mountains.
Another shot showed Ruffo grinning from a rock near the lake, with the mountains in the distance.
He captioned the photo, “Freezing cold but worth it for these vistas.
Sims has also been posting pictures to her own page, including a photo in which she and Ruffo are both wearing beanie caps and grinning at the camera.
She stated: “I think I might be a winter girl at heart” in another post.
Instagram was used by the couple’s friends and followers to express their appreciation for the lovely photos.
What a wonderful experience, sweethearts. Hope you’re having a fantastic time, Ruffo,” wrote Lynne McGranger, a former cast member of Home and Away.
The Morning Show co-host Kylie Gillies posted three clapping emojis.
“Looks incredible, hope you are having fun,” another said.
“Absolutely worth it Johnny 🙌❤️ Enjoy your time away 👌😍,” one user wrote.
“Johnny, I hope you & Tahnee are having the best time ever, that looks absolutely stunning guys. Much love & happiness to you both,” another added.
On Friday, Sims posted a photo of the couple kicking off their holiday by clinking glasses as they enjoyed a frothing hot tub.
Fans were ecstatic at the upgrade, and many of them recognised Queenstown from the breathtaking scenery.
“My favourite location. Embrace it. Johnny, have a lovely holiday. You deserve it.
Amazing location for you two to unwind and enjoy, added another.
“The best location. Enjoy that chilly air, the hot tub, and the stunning vistas,” said another.
The retreat occurs while the former Home and Away actor and X Factor contestant fights his terminal brain cancer. He found that the disease was incurable in 2022.
Regardless of the prognosis, Ruffo vowed to continue fighting and to “kick cancer’s a**.”
Sims has been on his side the entire time.
Before his initial brain cancer diagnosis in 2017, the couple had been dating.
Sims has received a lot of praise from Ruffo for helping him stay resilient and upbeat while receiving cancer treatment, referring to her as his “guardian angel” in interviews and posts on social media.
Ruffo spoke to 7Life in September 2022 about his decision to pay tribute to Sims in his memoir No Finish Line.
He said he “literally would not be here” if it wasn’t for his girlfriend, “because she’s been there for me several times where it’s been touch and go”.
