Johnny Ruffo’s partner posted a heartfelt social media protest in memory of the late Home and Away star.
Ruffo, a celebrity from the talent competition X Factor, passed away earlier this month at the age of 35 from brain cancer.
He “went peacefully” on November 10th, according to a message on his Instagram profile, with partner Tahnee Sims and family by his side.
“A forever love” is the description Ms. Sims used when she shared a video montage of the couple on her Instagram page on Sunday.
The couple was seen in the montage enjoying private moments together while on vacation in a variety of far-off places.
Home and Away stalwart Lynne McGranger, who plays Irene Roberts on the soap, was one of thousands to comment on the post.
“Darling … I can’t imagine what you are going through,” she wrote.
“In our thoughts and prayers. Cannot wait to give you the biggest hug. We all loved Johnny so much but he was your honey and your soul mate and we ache for you.”
Ruffo was first diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017, and again for a second time in 2020.
He last updated his 267,000 Instagram followers on his progress with cancer in early August, where he featured a video montage of his six years in hospital including removing the medical staples from his surgery scar.
Last year Ruffo released a book, No Finish Line, documenting the first moment he was told about the 7-centimetre tumour in his brain, also known as a stage three oligodendroglioma.
He completed the book while undergoing chemotherapy.
