Next week on EastEnders, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) is going to confront a scary predicament, but thankfully, an unexpected savior is on hand.
When a robber attempts to take her handbag, the café owner is shaken, but fortunately Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway), a newcomer, is there to stop them in their tracks.
After a rough start to the week, his deeds are sufficient to win Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) approval.
Prior to the incident with Kathy, Harry is after a new job, and Teddy Mitchell and Sharon Watts (Roland Manookian and Letitia Dean) join forces to convince Phil to give him a trial at the Arches.
Teddy and Phil are left disappointed when Harry is a no-show on his first day, but his heroic actions in Kathy’s time of need leave him with one more chance to prove himself at the garage.
However, once alone, Harry makes a mysterious phone call and it becomes clear that he is plotting something dodgy with his new role.
The next day, Harry meets with his contact at McClunky’s, while Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) issues a warrant to search the Arches.
As a result, Phil rescinds Harry’s trial offer, believing that Harry is trouble.
Disappointed Teddy then issues a warning to his son about what could be at stakeif the police start looking into their affairs.
The next day, Harry is the topic of the local Albert Square gossip, while Teddy attempts to convince Phil to let him at least see out the working week at the garage.
In a bid to clear his son’s name, Teddy concocts a plan to hold a charity event for Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) at the Arches.
The event comes as a total shock to Phil, but Teddy manages to diffuse the situation by revealing that the fundraiser was Harry’s idea. Because of this, Phil agrees to give him his job back.
However, not everyone is convinced by Harry’s nice guy routine, and when Jack continues to voice his suspicions, Harry and Teddy grow concerned. What are they trying to hide?
