Liam Connor hasn’t been seen much on Coronation Street lately because he’s been keeping to himself, but he’s about to be thrust into a major plot.

Charlie Wrenshall’s character Liam Connor from Coronation Street will be bullied by newcomer Mason (Luca Toolan) in a significant plot.

Mason, a Year 11 student at Weatherfield High who swiftly has a negative influence on his fellow students, will be played by Luca Toolan.

On Monday night, viewers saw Mason for the first time when he was spotted making fun of Ruby Dobbs (Isabella Flanagan), who was then defended by her sister Ruby Dobbs (Billie Naylor).

However, Mason’s shenanigans are only getting started, and when he starts trying to bring in additional people, things are going to get really bad.

Before deciding to choose Liam as their victim, Mason sets his sights on Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) and brings him under his wing.

Will events get out of hand too soon before Dylan realizes how terrible Mason is?

As Sean Tully (Anthony Cotton), Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon), and Gary Windass (Mickey North) all point fingers at one another, it quickly becomes apparent that Mason’s bullying is beginning to affect the larger population of Cobbles residents.

Luca remarked of receiving the part and his family’s joy: “The first thing I did was call my dad. Because I’m so superstitious, I truly didn’t tell anyone about anything, not even the initial self-tape.

He was startled because I kept the screen test a secret from him as well. He obviously knows that I enjoy acting, yet his response was, “What? Whoa, what do you mean?

“Because this was the first audition I didn’t inform him about despite the fact that typically I do. He was simply in utter disbelief.

He is aware of how significant it is and appreciates how fortunate I am to be where I am.

Since my grandma is a huge Corrie fan, I also called her. She didn’t believe me and felt I was lying.

They said it was going to grow dark, and Luca added that nobody will appreciate his role.

Being here is exciting, yet there is pressure and a need to do this justice. He has an extremely volatile and troubled soul. People behave in such a way for a purpose.

We might be able to delve a little deeper into the reasons behind his development in the future, perhaps.
