Lucy Fallon, star of Coronation Street, revealed the gender of her unborn child with the help of an Oasis song.

While Oasis fans waited impatiently for tickets to their reunion tour, Lucy and her boyfriend Ryan Ledson were anticipating something far more significant.

Sharing a video taken in their car, the Oasis song Songbird plays as the pair are seen excitedly reading news on their phone.

Screaming with joy on the muted clip, the loved up couple – who already have son Sonny Jude – hugged and kissed each other at what they read.

Lucy is seen bursting into tears as Ryan continues to read the email.

The camera then cuts to a clip of a baby grow that reads “little sister” hanging on a doorknob.

She simply captioned the pic “complete 🤍 x x”

Fans were delighted to hear the news – though admitted that they were initially confused believing they were sharing at the delight at getting through Ticketmaster to see the Wonderwall performers.

“Thought u had got oasis tickets 😂😂. Congratulations ❤️” wrote one fan.

“AHHHH I KNEW YOU WERE HAVING A BABY GIRL I SAID IT SINCE YOU ANNOUNCED YOUR SECOND PREGNANCY I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU,” said a second, before adding: “Although I did think this was an announcement of you crying with happiness getting Oasis tickets 🎟💀😂😂😂”

“not me thinking you’d got oasis tickets😭😭😭😭 congratulations my girl, how exciting!!🩷🩷🩷🩷” wrote a third.

“stop it i’m so happy for you 😭 congratulations,” said a fourth.

Lucy announced she was expecting again on August 19, sharing a first look at her baby bump as she shared the happy news.

She also told her fans she was “halfway there” already – meaning she’d kept the secret for more than four months.

Lucy – best known for playing Bethany Platt – met Ryan through friends back in 2017.

The pair had their first baby together in January 2023, a son named Sonny Jude.

Ryan is a British professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Preston North End.

Lucy previously quit Weatherfield in 2020 after five years, but returned last year.

The news led some fans to fear she may leave the soap again, but she was quick to clarify her future on the cobbles.

Writing on instagram during a Q+A, she said: Lots of Corrie related Q’s.

“I won’t be away for toooo long and I am returning after I pop the baby out xx.”
