After reports surfaced that she and Hugo Armstrong ‘hooked up’ after the show, Lyndall Grace of Married At First Sight has spoken out about their romance.

Such Drama! According to a report from earlier this month, the pair developed “an intimate relationship after Lyndall’s final vows exit”; the couple’s partners Cameron Woods and Tayla Winter were engaged in a’sexting’ scandal off the set.

Hugo and Lyndall grew close during the experiment, and Lyndall has now verified this to Yahoo Lifestyle, but she insists there has never been any romantic chemistry between them.

There are likely some ensemble members who think it’s impossible for friends to be of different genders, but Hugo and I have never experienced anything negative, the actress claims.

I can’t recall who contacted who when we heard the rumors, but we had a really funny phone call where we both said, “Oh well, I’m not going to correct anyone, that’s hilarious,” at the same time. In my experience with all of these rumors, I believe that people will ultimately believe whatever they want to believe. That’s pretty much all there is to it; it doesn’t really matter what I say.

Duncan and Evelyn’s romance

Lyndall and Hugo are not the only cast members who have reportedly reconciled since the end of the series; there are also rumors that Duncan James and Evelyn Ellis are now courting.

Such Drama! claims that before beginning a romantic connection, the couple sought approval from Evelyn’s on-screen “husband” Rupert Budgen, but Duncan’s ex Alyssa Barmonde was kept in the dark.

Lyndall admits she’s not positive if the rumors are true when discussing them with Yahoo Lifestyle.

She says, “It’s hard because there are so many individuals in the world; after all we’ve been through, does it really need to be someone from the show?

But if they’re content and have made a connection, that’s what we all went on the program to achieve, too. I just hope they’re both happy, whether it’s real or not.
